Rosefinch Mandarin was established in March 2007. The founder received a bachelor's degree at Peking University and a master's degree at University of Leicester, UK. After returning home, she founded Rosefinch. It aims to introduce the Chinese language, culture and custom to foreigners who live, work or study in China.

All the teachers have a bachelor or master's degree in Chinese literature or Teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and continue to receive rigorous prefessional training. All are fluent in English; some of them can speak French and Spanish. Most of them are experienced and qualified to teach advanced courses such as HSK and Chinese Classical literature.

Rosefinch has been widely praised for its teaching excellence and thoughtful service (see the student reviews page). Two teachers have been selected by Confucius Institutes to go and teach Chinese abroad. In May 2009, teaching at Rosefinch Mandarin was granted the Teaching Chinese professional intership status by the Communication University of China.

Rosefinch takes time to tailor a study plan for each student according to his/her personal requirements and current proficiency in Chinese (more details see our courses page). Both the teaching time and place are flexible. Prospective students are offered a free demo/trial to see if the teaching style suits them or not before making a decision. Unused tuition fees are refundable within two weeks.

Meanwhile, in order to help the students understand the Chinese language, culture and history beyond the classroom, Rosefinch offers some cultural activities (on an irregular basis) as well as book loans for free.

The students of Rosefinch include: the senior executives from LVMH Beijing; physicists and doctoral tutors of Tsinghua University; the French experts from Ansaldo who design the high-speed railways in China; foreign experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences; staff from the UN, WHO, and the Mexican embassy in Beijing. Some of these students have been studying at Rosefinch for more than a year and obtained a significant improvement from primary to senior level.

The school is located in DongZhiMen embassy district, close to Season's park, 10 minutes walking distance from DongSiShiTiao subway station on line 2, 5 minutes from the Worker's Stadium, 15 minutes from the SanLiTun bar street.
